It’s snowing here in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and so we decided to get cracking on prepping for the holiday season. I love the stretch between Thanksgiving and NYE but the pace gets brisk and it’s nice to stash a few things away ahead of the festivities. Below are a brainstorms for gifts, decor, and outfits. Let me know what you think - we are always up for fresh ideas! OXOXO
1. Floral Print inspired by a fall trip to the Georgia Okeefe museum in Santa Fe, 2. Big splatter vase (great for all seasons), 3. We love this skirt paired with a white skirt or loose cashmere sweater, 4. Some hot new skis that will truly help you carve better on both ice and pristine corduroy - great equipment is such a treat, 5. Fresh candles make nice hostess gifts, 6. These plates would look great in a holiday tablescape (and a summer dinner party), 7. These napkins would be amazing on a NYE tablescape mixed with pops of gold and great flowers, 8. Mixing colored glasses with clear stemware makes the table look more interesting but still sophisticated.
1. Good-looking paperwhite setup, 2. Tinted lip balm is a favorite in winter, 3. A good blazer says “competence”. 4. Simon Pierce candle holders, 5. Oysters from Real Oyster Cult take your holiday party up a notch….could also make a fun hostess gift, 6. Cashmere throw blankets are tried-and-true, 7. Our preferred wrapping system is recycled brown paper or newsprint tied up with gorgeous ribbon, 8. Patterned throw pillows from Grapevine or Schumacher always make a great gift.
1. I love these trays - they come in three sizes and are great for bathrooms, bar setups, and coffee table schemes. 2. Special glasses worthy of a good holiday party, 3. On our own wish list…feel like this jacket would look great for fall and then add a big scarf for winter. 4. Neutral accessories are always useful, 5. More fun napkins to wow your holiday guests, 6. Best rec for 2025 ski boots, 7. Navy pinstripe throw blanket, 8. Holiday entertaining is more fun using great cookware.
